Small organizations thrive through collaboration. Our partnerships with All Saints Anglican Church, Thrivability Foundation, and Paradise Canyon extend our reach while maintaining close, personal connections with each family. These relationships allow us to serve the community in diverse and impactful ways.
Our growing programs offer opportunities for craftsmen, educators, and families:
Family is at our core. What began as Sloyd & Croft, a small family guild, has grown into the Skilled Scholar Guild—connecting families with local resources and mentors across San Antonio’s westside and the Texas Hill Country. As we expand, we remain focused on providing personalized support, offering families access to a growing, thriving learning community.
Engages learners, families, craftsmen and organizations, in an apprentice-style education, not merely for acquiring specific vocational skills but for navigating life itself, we ensure that learning is deeply personalized, responsive, and continuously adaptive to individual paths and societal changes. We seek to nurture not only a well-rounded individual but also a responsible community member, ready to face the complexities of the modern world with resilience and empathy.
Join us at one of our three campuses: All Saints Anglican Church Campus in the Castle Hills Area of San Antonio; Paradise Canyon at the beginning of the beautiful Hill Country just outside Hondo, Mico and Pipe Creek; or at An American Slöjd School, our main 7 acre campus in Rio Medina, just minutes from Alamo Ranch, Helotes & Castroville.
