Sloyd through the Summer

Tuition is all inclusive. Access to all activities;, 2 healthy snacks and a nutritious lunch; fluoride-free, filtered water; use of all tool, equipment & project materials; fees for partner programs, and a school T-Shirt.  

Each Week : 

• Big Build Projects: Each week various BIG building projects are decided on by the group from installing windows, adding a porch to the Sloyder Shack, to refurbishing our Bee Buggy (golf cart). Various construction projects are offered as we examine the various Builders Guilds from long ago.  Sloyder's get insight in the various Guild's "trade secrets" including math, science and design "magic."
• Boats & Goats: For Boats-Build a personal model boat, assist with a jumbo 3 foot model or join in on the full size boat build. For Goats-we are rebuilding their habitat with a new eco-build cordwood shelter and cedar post goat jungle gym.
• Shop Time: Students enjoy a visit and a go in the print shop, textile or design & art shop.  Shop times and projects vary and to open based on space availability, with the wood shop opened daily.
• Murmuration Moments: In addition to various projects offered during shop time, students also enjoy three sessions a week for personal pursuits. Students delve deeper into an area of interest with the coach of an expert mentor.
• Faith & Farm Fridays: Our mornings opens at All Saint's Anglican Church in Castle Hills with Morning Matins followed by a morning of personal exploration and meditation in The Atrium - a faith based Montessori experience. In the afternoon we return to Sloyd & Croft Campus to participate in a team design School Project, game theory and some cool free swim time.
• Pool School includes grammar review, literature discussions and physical fitness
